Family Carers Views Assistant - Telford & Wrekin CVS

Location: Telford & Wrekin CVS, Telford Centre 

Hours: 21 Hours 

• You will ensure regular communication with local unpaid family carers and key
stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of a robust community engagement programme
• Support in building successful relationships with a wide range of local groups and
community leaders, involving them in the co-production and delivery of the all aged
carers centre’s identified social programmes and development opportunities
• To work in an inclusive multiagency way across all TWCVS projects and Adult Social
Care, Children & Families Services, Public Health, Midlands Partnership Foundation
Trust, other VSCE teams, stakeholders and partners
• Assisting in providing an innovative and creative approach to listening to family carers
views and co-producing systems and service provision
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gathering Views - Supporting and capturing the voices and views of unpaid family
carers
• Presenting Views - Creating and developing meaningful and creative ways of
capturing carers voice through different mediums (art, videography and case studies of
carers journeys)
• Forum Focussed on Carers Interests - Developing a quarterly forum alongside
carers to provide information, guidance and ways of gaining carers views to include
guest speakers
• Reaching Carers in the Community - Assisting Service Manager in the co-ordination,
organisation, publicity including social media of public events in relation to family
carers.
• Public Events - Attendance of our own public events and other events in the
community with the Team
• Administration duties include room bookings, booking attendance of agencies to
events, email invites and distribution of mailshots

Monitoring and Evaluation
• Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken
• Pro-actively monitor, evaluate work and provide reports as required by the Service
Manager.
• To present customer satisfaction in a variety of creative ways including surveys and
other forms of feedback.
Qualifications / Experience
Evidence of a solid general education is required together with GCSE A*-C / 9-4 or
equivalent including English and Mathematics along with good keyboard skills and the
ability to use Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer and
an understanding or knowledge of Access.
A relevant professional qualification NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Evidence of further education or training that would support your application
Telford and Wrekin CVS operates a friendly, informal team. However, we aim to maintain
the highest standards of service and efficiency. Experience of working in a small team in
a busy office environment would, therefore, be an advantage.
Support, supervision and training, where necessary, will be provided.
Hours of Work: Normal office hours:
Monday – Thursday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Friday: 9.00am – 4.30pm
“Out of Hours” work may be necessary.
Time off in lieu can be arranged (overtime is not paid).

time to time, as well as out in the community.
