Head Cashier - Zara

Hours: 40 hours per week 

Location: Zara, Telford Centre 

Requirements: To take primary responsibility for the cash and transactions of the store, to supervise, provide support, guidance and training to all cashiers. To lead the Cashier team in delivering excellent service in line with our customer service standards

Role:  We have an opportunity to become part of our store management team as HEAD CASHIER 

Key Responsibilities 

* Process sales, exchanges and refunds efficiently, accurately and quickly in all payment methods

* Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive a quality service either face to face or over the telephone 

* Ensure all departments have sufficient Cashiers cover by planning and managing the Cashiers daily rota's in liaison with the management team

* Open and close main and auxiliary tills according to your shift

* Ensure complete efficiency when following opening and closing cash desk procedures

* Maintain an organised and tidy cash desk at all times

* Manage the recruitment and inductions of new team members

* Fully train and develop all Cashiers and follow up their performance

* Investigate and resolve discrepancies (their own and their team's)

* Monitor and record till discrepancies and report them to the relevant department

* Provide till reports throughout the day to Managers and colleagues when required

* Maintain accurate records and control of daily and weekly employees documents

* Ensure security measures are taken and that Cashiers are updated regularly on these

* Control store stationary and bag orders whilst maintaining required levels

* Manage employee expenses process

* To be the main point of contact for all managers in store for all cash desks related queries 

* Ensure all cash desks are in good working order and maintained regularly 

* Manage the request for change in the store and follows up 

* Liaise with managers to offer Cashiers assistance on shop floor when necessary 

* Make sure that the processing of merchandise movements assigned to Cashiers is accurate and all documentation is organised 

* Ensure effective communication with the Management team at all times 

* Continually develop stock knowledge and promotions throughout the store

* Complete other tasks as necessary to support the overall store

* Be aware of what happens day to day in the store 

* Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy 

Experience and Qualifications 

* Demonstrate cash desk experience within INDITEX, or has cash handling experience with the retail sector 

* Knowledge of cash and transaction operating systems 

* Supervisory skills desirable
