Diamond Award Winner
Telford Centre have been awarded the Diamond Standard by the ‘Loo of The Year Awards’ for their toilet facilities at the centre, including their Changing Places facility, meaning the facility meets the top standard expected from the award category.
The top of the range Changing Places facility includes extra features including adjustable bed, hoist, and an accessible toilet as well as additional space in order to cater for all members of the community.
The facilities make it possible for people with profound disabilities to visit the centre safely and as comfortably as possible, helping to make Telford Centre accessible to people who may not have been able to visit otherwise.
Katie Broome, Marketing Manager at Telford Centre said: “We are extremely proud to have been given the Diamond Award for our facilities. We know how important having this service available is for our visitors and it is great that we have been awarded the highest standard possible. We’d also like to thank our fantastic House Keeping team, who work across two shifts, and have been instrumental to gaining this award”.
The Changing Places facility adds to the accessible facilities Telford Centre already have in place including; accessible parking bays, The Retreat roof top garden, Quite Hour, Quiet Room and Autism Champions Customer Service Personnel.
