One Great Day Raises over £2000

We are delighted to announce that the recent One Great Day at Telford Centre has raised over £2,000, to be split 50/50 between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Telford Autism Hub Children’s Services.

The event, which took place on 24th September was a fun filled day of activities, supported by the local community.

This was the 4th One Great Day event to be held at the centre, with over £6,000 in total now raised for charity from the events.

Julie Collins, Children’s Service Manager at Telford Autism Hub said: “Thank you so much to everyone involved in the One Great Day.  It was such a fantastic day and raised so much for our Children’s Autism Hub.  The money raised will help fund our new sensory space.  This will enable children and young people who attend our hub a calm and relaxing space with sensory games and visual resources that can help to regulate and support a child’s sensory needs.  With the additional funds raised, we will also be able to continue and further develop our family activity sessions where families can take part in a wide range of activities that support the whole family including siblings, creating positive family times together”

Katie Broome, Marketing Manager at Telford Centre said: “It’s been fantastic to see the Telford community come together for our 4th One Great Day event and help to raise another fantastic donation for two such deserving charities. Without the support of the local community, these events just wouldn’t be possible.”
