Katie Broome, Telford Centre Marketing Manager said: “We’re proud to be working with the Autism Hub Children’s Services as our Charity partner of the year at Telford Centre, they are a fantastic charity and this year’s One Great Day event is a perfect opportunity to help raise much needed funds to support their work. The event will also help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Both charities will receive 100% of the money raised, split equally between them. We’d like to thank the wonderful Telford community for their continued support with our One Great Day events and hope this year’s event will be our best one yet.”
The Children’s Autism Hub provides support to children and young people, aged 0-18, and their families, who have a formal diagnosis of autism. Based at Hazeldine House at Telford Centre the Hub provides a wide range of support including workshops, connections with community based activities and organisations, peer support, specialist advice and family play sessions which give the opportunity to meet other families and professionals.
Julie Collins, Children’s Service Manager said: “Telford and Wrekin CVS would like to thank our partner Telford Centre for the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for our recently launched Telford Children’s Autism Hub. Being chosen as their charity of the year, and being involved in this One Great Day event, means a great deal to us.”
