Telford Centre Supports Telford Children’s Autism Hub as Charity Partner of 2022
Telford Centre has partnered up with Telford Children’s Autism Hub to help raise awareness of the amazing support available from the Hub for the local community.
The Children’s Autism Hub is a new service which provides support to children and young people, aged 0-18, and their families, who have a formal diagnosis of autism.
Based at Hazeldine House at Telford Centre the Hub provides a wide range of support including workshops, connections with community based activities and organisations, peer support, specialist advice and family play sessions which give the opportunity to meet other families and professionals.
The Autism Hub teams have been working closely with the Telford Centre team on a number of projects including the centre’s The Retreat Roof Top Garden and helping to train the centre’s team of Autism Champions.
As Charity Partner of 2022 children and adults from the Autism Hub are invited along to Telford Centre’s Queens Jubilee Tea Party which will take place next month and the centre will be helping to raise funds for the Children’s Hub as part of their One Great Day event in September.
Katie Broome, Marketing Manager at Telford Centre said: “We are very pleased to be working with Telford Children’s Autism Hub as our official Charity Partner for 2022. They provide an amazing service to the community and invaluable information, advice and support to our centre team to help ensure we are accessible and able to welcome customers with additional needs and make their visit as relaxed as possible”.
