Telford Centre Supports White Ribbon Day
Wednesday 25th November
Telford Centre is pleased to show their support for White Ribbon UK, a leading charity which is part of the global White Ribbon movement to end male violence against women.
It is the charity’s mission for all men to fulfil the White Ribbon promise to never commit or remain silent about male violence against women.
Wednesday 25th November is White Ribbon Day. Each year thousands of people stand up, speak out and say no to violence against women. This year is more important than ever with a significant increase in violence, harassment and abuse towards women during the coronavirus pandemic. White Ribbon UK are urging people and communities to work together to prevent violence and make sure our communities and homes are safe for everyone.
Telford Centre will join Southwater One, in showing their support on 25th November, by illuminating the centre logo at all entrances in white.
Katie Broome, Marketing Manager at Telford Centre said: ‘Telford Centre are proud to support the White Ribbon campaign. The need to raise awareness to prevent male violence against women has become more urgent now than ever and it is important that we address these issues as a community’.
Despite the pandemic there are lots of ways to show your support including printing the free White Ribbon poster to put in your window, available at www.whiteribbon.org.uk/day
