Telford Tree Of Light, Celebrating 27 Years Of Remembrance

The Telford Tree of Light will return to Telford Centre for it’s 27th year of remembrance, giving people the opportunity to commemorate their loved ones whose names will be displayed on the tree.

Loved one’s names can be added for a minimum donation of £5 per name and all proceeds will be donated to some amazing local charities including:

  • Severn Hospice
  • Hope House Hospice
  • Telford After Care Team
  • Wellington Scout Group
  • Jayne Sargent Foundation
  • Shropshire Prostate Cancer Support Group
  • Young carers

Applications can be made online at and The Tree of Light will be displayed at Telford Centre between 10th November 2022 – 5th January 2023.

Peter Seaward, Chairman of the Trustees the Rotary Clubs of Telford Trust Fund and Chairman of the Tree of Light Committee said:

“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support of the people in our community for the Tree of Light. Their donations help some of the less fortunate by supporting some fantastic local charities.

We would also like to express our gratitude for the support of Telford Centre in providing a place of remembrance each year.

At this time of economic hardship for many, we are pleased that we can keep the minimum suggested donation at £5 as it as in 1995.   Please help us to help the community by remembering and giving as much or as little as you can afford.”

Katie Broome, Telford Centre Marketing Manager said: “It is always a pleasure and an honour to have the Telford Tree of Light at Telford Centre and see the names of remembrance. The funds raised in support of local charities is testament to what can be achieved when the community comes together. We are looking forward to welcoming the Tree of Light with us again this year.”
