World Book Day
Telford Centre have partnered up with book retailer Waterstones, located within the centre, to celebrate World Book Day with a Free Book Exchange between 1st – 7th March.
Come along and swap your well loved books for new reads or drop them off for a chance to win a £100 gift voucher to be spent on new books at Waterstones at the centre.
Drop off your pre-loved books at the Telford Centre Customer Service Desk (located by the side of Boots and opposite Pandora) and collect an entry token for a chance to Win!
You can also pick up new reads and choose from a variety of books including a selection kindly donated by Waterstones to get the Swap Stop started.
World Book Day was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading and is marked in over 100 countries around the globe.
World Book Day's mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income.

We hope the Book Swap Stop will be an opportunity for customers to pick up pre loved reads they can enjoy for free while also encouraging readers to donate books that can be shared with others.
